Review on IWISS Wire Ferrule Crimping Tool with Hexagonal Crimp Profile - Self-adjusting Crimper for AWG23-10 Insulated Terminal & Non-insulated Ferrule by Charles Adelaja

Not your typical cheap Chinese instrument.

Notes: All are metal except for the two handles which are rubber and plastic. In the photos, orange is plastic while silver gray is softer rubber. — The translation into English is decent, really good. "That and the inclusion of TWO spare springs is amazing – unexpectedly unprecedented for Chinese goods. If you mean numbers: HSC6-4 - 4 point square crimps HSC6-6 - 6 point crimps (which I have). - to the ferrules, I wanted to see how the 6 work. I can tell you that when you bolt the 4th on they tend to unravel at the 4th seams that are created. This contradicts what you are being told. The more "sides" a ferula has, the more I think it looks like a wire being crimped. Makes sense even if not backed by facts. I've found that simply screwing/pinching bare strands (no ferulation [sp?]) is a lot worse for connections in general, especially if you find yourself reattaching them. For example, if you are working on a workbench/prototyping, you are constantly attaching items and the threads are gradually coming loose and you may base projects/measurements on unrealistic electrical conductivity. Thoughts: I have no idea. how they behave for HF/UHF materials (think skin effect). They offer ZERO protection from the elements. Copper remains copper even in a ferrule. Each ferrule is different and all I can find are cheap Chinese ones so your mileage will be very different. HTH!
