#10 tips are too big

The maximum size it can handle is #10 (6mm2). We tried quality #10 (6mm²) tips from American Electrical. You will not fit. No. 12 tips fit well. The crimper may work with lower quality tips as they may be slightly smaller. Aside from not working with the largest tip size, crimping machines work just fine.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Legit for Car Audio

At around $25 I doubt it can be beat. I mainly use it to install car radios. The item was incredibly easy to use and my curls looked amazing. as in the photo in the description. Use this in combination with good quality ferrules and adhesive backed heat shrink tubing and you will have a 100% valid connection. Feel free to buy this.

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Good Price - Power & Hand Tools

Good product for the price. I ordered a 6 sided crimper and received a 4 sided crimper. I could return them to try and get the right pliers but didn't want to go through the hassle. I've had them for 4 years now and use them quite often and get good results, a bit surprised because they cost a lot less than other popular brands of crimping tools.

How did I live without her for so many years?

For years I've stripped wires and plugged them into terminal blocks like nothing happened. Well, not anymore! I bought 2 pairs of these, one for myself, one for a co-worker and damn I wish I had made this ten years ago. They're solidly built, make a really good crimp on the ferrule that fits into the terminal block with no strands dangling, and the end result almost looks like we know what we're doing.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not bad

A more whimsical choice for crimping the aiguillette.

I got this for making shoelaces with metal pins and paracord, not for working with electronics. As a result, I had to pre-crimp my aglets slightly to fit the jaws of this tool due to their uncompressed diameter, but that was to be expected as this is an off-label use of this tool. Once I pre-forged the aglets to a diameter that would fit the jaws of this swaging machine, it was easier than hitting the brakes on my bike. To say I'm very happy with the end result is an understatement.

Great crimping machine for the money.

Very good pliers for the money. Very happy. I prefer this 6 sided version 4 for most uses. This crimping tool is ideal for the wire sizes listed. For those who say it's too small, I can only assume that you are either NOT using ferrules (e.g. trying to use it as a standard wire crimp which does NOT work) or you have insanely large ferrules . Let me get this straight - these are for the little tabs that go to the end of the wire to ensure a better connection in screw terminals - typically used…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Everything is fine

The best crimping tool I have ever used

In industrial electrical work they are a must. I have no idea how many lugs I crimp in a week or a month, but it's not just a few here and there. The main advantage of a 6 point crimp over a 4 point crimp is that they are almost perfectly round. The round crimp fits the terminal blocks much better than the square crimp. For those of us who use them regularly, we find that the square crimps tend to sag when mated into the terminal blocks, resulting in loose and inefficient connections. I've used

  • Test for one year

Not your typical cheap Chinese instrument.

Notes: All are metal except for the two handles which are rubber and plastic. In the photos, orange is plastic while silver gray is softer rubber. — The translation into English is decent, really good. "That and the inclusion of TWO spare springs is amazing – unexpectedly unprecedented for Chinese goods. If you mean numbers: HSC6-4 - 4 point square crimps HSC6-6 - 6 point crimps (which I have). - to the ferrules, I wanted to see how the 6 work. I can tell you that when you bolt the 4th on they…
