Review on IWISS Wire Ferrule Crimping Tool with Hexagonal Crimp Profile - Self-adjusting Crimper for AWG23-10 Insulated Terminal & Non-insulated Ferrule by Michael Straughter

The best crimping tool I have ever used

In industrial electrical work they are a must. I have no idea how many lugs I crimp in a week or a month, but it's not just a few here and there. The main advantage of a 6 point crimp over a 4 point crimp is that they are almost perfectly round. The round crimp fits the terminal blocks much better than the square crimp. For those of us who use them regularly, we find that the square crimps tend to sag when mated into the terminal blocks, resulting in loose and inefficient connections. I've used them for everything since 22ga. Up to 10 ha, and found no problems. I've had much more expensive pliers and prefer these. For 25% of the cost of a premium pair of pliers, this is definitely a win. In fact, my overpriced pliers now live in my tool box. Too bad I didn't find them first. Seriously, if you want great pliers for the right money, you really can't go wrong with these.
