I was a little nervous reading reviews from people saying it didn't work, sound quality issues or something. They probably didn't do the proper research or had no idea what they were doing because I thought it was a decent product and sounded great, connected and had a good audio range. Please note: You will need an amplifier to power the subwoofer or use it as a 4 channel speaker. I did the following: I connected it to my Sony - 1015 watts, 7.2 channels. 4K Ultra HD and 3D pass-through home theater A/V receiver with surround back/bi-amp/front high/right and left connections. Excellent sound range. I then took the speaker and hooked it up to an old Klipsch subwoofer amp. Hooked it up through my Sony A/V and now I have serious bass. It kicks and vibrates against the metal cover of the screen and knocks all over the house! It's amazing, it really gives my music the depth I wanted. First of all, it is very easy to install and easy to wire. It is ideal for playing music.
