Review on MAXELL Normal BIAS UR-90 (15-Pack): Standard Size Cassettes for Superior Audio Performance by Evan Burnside

Ordered these cartridges for meeting minutes. From the first use, the playback is clear and the sound quality is excellent. Unfortunately, when I use the cassette for the second time, it is distorted in some places, so that what was said can no longer be understood. This only happens when the ribbon is used a second time. I was a transcriptionist many years before the digital age and used cassette tapes over and over again with no problems. In fact, most of our cassettes were gone within a year. During a meeting, my tape seemed to stop and spin very slowly. That's the case in these cases, when I play the tape it jumps and everything is distorted. I can no longer use them for recording, so they just get thrown away. I've never experienced anything like this with Maxell tapes in the past, unless the tape has been washed and reused many, many times.
