Poor quality and customer service. Avoid

I am in shock because I have had many Shark and Ninja products over the years and they have all been great. I have even recommended many friends and family members to buy them as well. However, the quality of this item is terrible and the customer service is even worse. The first time I cooked in a medium-sized pan, I noticed that the glass lid popped after a few minutes of steaming. Then I noticed water bubbles coming out between the glass and the metal gasket on top. It looked odd but I wasn't sure if it was part of the design or a defect. Well a few weeks later things got even worse as the gaps now started trapping water and blocking the liquid inside the glass/metal lid. Cleaning only made matters worse as it trapped more water and suds that ran all over the pot when you put it back on, but in most cases the water was next to impossible to remove. It's stuck there like some kind of lava lamp. As it is advertised with a 5 year guarantee and I have only used it a little, I contacted Shark support. The support person started asking me a lot of questions, "what did you cook" and "what was the temperature", suggesting that I was abusing it in some way. I explained that I only used it to cook regular meals like veggies, fish and eggs (wish someone could remember what they cooked for dinner 2 months ago and what temp it was at). it is at most on a medium/high heat on the stove and always hand wash, never in the washing machine. That answer wasn't enough, so I had a few more minutes for a food forensic scientist to ask for all the details. Eventually I had to take a video call from him to show him the lid myself (which was a bit odd). After all of this I was told that the cover would cost $30 to replace as the wonderful 5 year warranty was out of order. Do not cover the lids. Wow what a guarantee if it doesn't cover literally half of the product I bought! So now I'm forced to spend another $30 on top of the $400 I already spent on this kit to replace the lid, which was broken from the factory to begin with. AVOID THIS PRODUCT AND COMPANY. I will no longer buy their products.
