Finally a filter that flows very quietly and gently and that my betta can handle in his 8 gallon potted tank. I had to remove the filter that came with this tank as it sounded like something was constantly rattling in this filter. After trying a few small tank filters and failing because they all sounded too loud, I finally tried this one and voila, it's almost perfect. My only concern is the vent, I just hope my little friend doesn't get stuck in it. If so, I'll take the net and cover it. Sigh, finally a quiet room. Thank you Marina! Update: I put a "big" artificial plant right in front of the vent to keep my rooster from hanging around there, and the vent creates constant movement of my plant's leaves, which is really cool.
