Low cost = low quality but decent enough.

They work, but when you try to play from the dock they don't like to mate. You have to keep reconnecting them, which is a bit of a hassle. And they don't fit in the joy con controller's gray grip when the switch system is in the dock (the thing that turns 2 independent joy con controllers into one controller). I bought these because my daughter dropped the originals and broke one. Didn't want to pay £80 to have this happen again.
