They did what they had to do until the boy shook the gate several times.
This wall protection basically did what it was supposed to. However, when my little one shook the gate several times, the pressure crumbled and shattered it, rendering the gate more or less unusable. Now I have to spend more time looking for a more durable option that will last more than a few months. Perhaps avoid this if you are using a gate to keep your child locked away.
