Smaller than expected but perfect for toddlers and adults!

I've heard so much about these crayons on Montessori blogs and art sites that I finally decided to try them when the price dropped to $18.99. I have a 1 year old who is just learning to draw and I wanted something for her that would be easy to hold in her hands, with good color saturation and transferability (so she doesn't have to press down too hard to get a mark on that paper).) , as well as something that doesn't break. So far, these crayons have achieved that and more. They have a dreamy, rich yet translucent color. They transfer to the page easily, but the crayon never seems to wear off (amazing!). I was a bit surprised at how small they are - they're not tiny, but I think I was expecting something as long as a pack of gum when they're 45% shorter (so imagine something a little larger than a pack of chewing gum). rubber bands). 1/2 the length of a regular pack of gum (old-fashioned, long, thin sticks of gum). They are actually an amazing size as I realized once my daughter and I started using them - they are very easy and comfortable to hold and use at any angle (corners, sides etc). My daughter holds them well and since there are no annoying paper sleeves or easy-to-break ends/points, she gets more immediate positive feedback when she puts the crayon on the paper. I used to use several $1 crayons on her and it took so much effort and coordination to get the color on the page that she got mad at her very quickly. I've been giving them away since then.) I highly recommend them - the colors are amazing, they're incredibly comfortable to use, and they last and last and last. Although it took me over a year to find the courage to spend that much on crayons, I'm SO glad I did!
