These beeswax colored blocks are ideal for older children or adults wanting to create broad colored lines. They are probably less suitable for the hands of young toddlers and preschoolers and they are NOT safe for them as they are NOT 100% BEESWAX. All Stockmar beeswax crayons are ideal for applying color to paper. But keep in mind that they are only 10% beeswax. I think Stockmar should be much more explicit on their labels that their crayons only contain a small percentage of beeswax.
