Review on Takeya Patented Airtight Pitcher Quart by Jacob Ferrarini

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good pitcher but be careful with the handle

I've bought several of these pitchers and for the most part they work great. You can store them on their side in the fridge and they won't leak. You can also mix drinks in it (I use it for mixing protein drinks and Soylent and have had very few problems). The lid is tight so drinks won't taste cold even if you leave them in the fridge for a while. The jug also disassembles easily, making it easy to clean. The reason I give this jug 4 stars is because of the handle on the top of the jug. It looks like it's pretty durable and offers a comfortable grip for vigorously shaking powdered drinks, but it's not. If you shake the jug with it, the lid will break quickly and the lid will leak. The same thing happens if you just put your hand on the handle and shake the jug up and down with your hands. When using these pitchers to mix powdered drinks, hold the pitcher by the rim and shake it. I've had no problems mixing drinks this way.
