Bought a new black car and the previous owner didn't bother with the paint job. Curls, micro-scratches, a bit of everything. I couldn't polish it completely under the hood, but the doors, trunk and roof are sanded well. I currently camouflaged the car as I wasn't sure how much sand was in it. You need to apply wax #26. I have the paste version because I like the thicker protective layer. This will help seal it. Next I apply a coat of wax that I use on my other cars and finish with a ceramic finish. I can easily spend 4 days detailing a car. So if I can polish the paint to remove the scratches and not have to bring it to that level for 3 years I'm happy. The car looks 50 times better without scratch haze.
