Suitable for small kittens

Our approximately 10 week old 2.5 lb kitten wants to go outside. This is the smallest harness I could find - smaller than the RabbitGoo small cat harness I also bought. But it's a handy size so we can walk with it on a leash as long as we're within reach. We follow him all the time and grab him when he tries to get out of the harness. We don't take him more than a few feet into our backyard until he's grown further or until he's stuck in a zippered cat. Backpack. I think if he's 4lbs he'll probably fit just fine. I'll try to come back and update when it grows up. UPDATE: He now weighs 4.5 pounds. We use the harness regularly but it's still a bit big and he got off while jumping/spinning with someone who didn't grab him right away when it started (they were in our garden and we were treating him). Kittens are so skinny - it gets longer, but not much wider. I'm not sure how big it needs to be before this is securely fastened. UPDATE: Adventure Cats recommends ferret harnesses for kittens. Fabulous! Come back when they get bigger if you like. My friend is 5 pounds and now walks in it easily but can still get out. There are safer harnesses for cats.
