Nice car with some limitations

This is a good computer, it runs fast and cool and looks great too. Delivery was fast, it was well packaged and it arrived a few weeks earlier than I expected. Their customer service is also excellent. I had a bit of confusion when I received this order and they were responsive and helpful which is much appreciated. I bought this machine because A - I wanted an RTX 3080 and there aren't many easy ways to get one, and B - I needed a second computer at home that I could use for a small farm for mining and backup, if necessary. All in all, and despite the exorbitant price tag (which is the case with these graphics cards these days), I'm overall happy with the purchase. With all of that, the big downside to this machine is that it's built at a low level. Versions of the components it comes with. All specifications are there and they are accurate, but they spend as little money on it as possible. You get a great latest-gen Intel processor, for example, but it's a low-end i9. You get 32GB or RAM - but that's cheap branded RAM I'm not aware of that may or may not be as consistent as something slightly more expensive, has no heatsink head and no RGB lighting at all. In fact, RAM is probably my biggest build issue - the photos show massive RAM with solid heatsinks that probably won't cause overclocking issues, but the machine actually has super-simple sticks with no coolers. I really think this part is just misleading. The story is pretty much the same across the board. Mine came with an MSI RTX 3080 Ventus and it's amazing, fast and cool, but it has no RGB at all (pros for some I know but not for me in this machine) and it's probably not the version I have if I built it myself and the maps would be easily accessible. The case is also a bit cheap for my taste. It's not bad, but it feels a little cheap. All of this doesn't necessarily mean that the components are of poor quality or that the computer is unreliable. Note, however, that CUK makes at least some money from shipping parts that are cheaper in their class. It's like buying a car with leather seats, but it's not the soft, buttery leather you get in an expensive luxury car, it's the cheaper, less comfortable, inferior leather you get in a Ford. It's still good, and there's not necessarily anything wrong with it, but you can tell it from a Ford and not a BMW if you know what you're looking at. All in all it's still amazing but for the price. They charge, I'm just so disappointed I can't give them a full 5 star rating.
