Review on Effortless Nailing with πŸ”¨ the Stinger CH38A Autofeed Cap Hammer by Chris Long

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Are you packing your house? This is an essential tool!

I'm a do-it-yourselfer and I'm renovating the house. After removing the old paneling, we needed to apply the foil. With the Stinger CH38A, my son and I got the job done in a long day. Not only does the result look better than what I see on most new homes being built here, but the sheeting has withstood several violent thunderstorms and not a single staple has come loose. Stinger is easy to use and works like a charm. When contemplating buying this instrument, I was almost put off by the reviews, which seemed to be split almost evenly between those who loved it and those who hated it. My Experience: Yes, if you get into an awkward position and can't swing to hit straight, the lid may not feed or the lid may cut off. For me, this happened in maybe 1 in 50 staples. This cannot be acceptable for the contractor. It wasn't even a problem for me. Typically, the Stinger was as easy to use as a hammer. If you are installing roofing felt or wrapping foil on your own home, you must have this tool. If you were to throw it away for $70 after you're done, it would still be worth five times what you paid for it.
