They are insanely bright. I'm so glad I have dimmable ones. I imagine people falling down the stairs on the brightest settings. They were easy to install and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. As said, they are very bright at high and low frequencies, it's a bit difficult to find the right place on the dial, you have to turn carefully and slowly. But you can get a nice faint sheen from them. We used them at the top of the stairs so the kids could see without turning on a big light or traveling in the dark. They are perfect for that. The adhesive seems strong, when installing I tried to lift and push a bit and it came off some of the paint on the drywall. A stripe made the entire side of the stairs from top to bottom. Time will tell how well they hold up. Now I will buy a waterproof outdoor version. I hope the plane doesn't confuse them with runways.
