This thing is awesome especially if you decide to go a less traditional route and use a different piece of furniture (I.e. a dresser) as a changing table. The grips on the bottom really do keep it in place and there are also 2 tabs that can be affixed to the back of the piece of furniture for additional assurance that it won’t move. It also has a belt to keep your child from moving once they get old enough to roll. My son typically calms pretty quickly when we place him on it so I’m guessing it’s pretty comfortable too. It’s easy to clean with a baby wipe or to spray and wipe down. Standard changing pad covers fit it perfectly.
