I wanted to assemble an HTPC case because I was replacing my Blu-ray player with spare parts with a really working PC in our bedroom. I finally settled on this case because it has amazing reviews here and pcpartspicker is a fantastic case for the price. If you're building a mini-ITX for the first time (like me), be prepared for cable management nightmares. I could probably search the web for short compatible cables to use for these types of builds, but hmm. It has good airflow and there's no transparent panel or anything, so it doesn't have to be THAT pretty on the inside. The case says brushed aluminum, but on the front it looks like it's plastic and not aluminum? The power supply is also in an unexpected place (blame me for not paying enough attention to the internal layout before buying). The power supply must be installed with the switch on as it is flush lengthwise just behind the front panel. The case comes with a cable that then runs from the back straight to the plug on the PSU and you take the regular PSU power cord and plug it into the back as you normally would - there's just no actual access to the switch for your PSU , unless you grab the cover works again. The lid is also a bit difficult to put back on. Being sure to press both sides at the same time, lower it so the brackets inside slide along the rail. Then slide all the work into place. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts to align ALL correctly on the rails. The metal chassis is also fairly thin, but for a smaller chassis at this price point, you can't complain too much, and it's still metal. The fan it comes with is very quiet (as any 140mm fan should be) BUT is asking companies to fit a 4 pin fan instead of 3 too much to ask? In fact, it shouldn't be anything at the moment. Additional note: I don't currently have a GPU installed in this build so can't speak to it, but it looks like there's plenty of room and there should be a decent vent to prevent it going nuclear with the vent . At least I was able to use a full size PSU without too much trouble! The rubber feet on the bottom feel very stable, sturdy and quiet. For some reason I like Fractal Design's legs haha. Have fun building!
