ViewSonic's original replacement is currently $135 on their website, about double the price, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Seriously, don't waste your money on a cheap replacement. It also appears that ViewSonic's replacement will include a lamp housing. Installing a separate lamp took some time as the coupe is quite cramped. The lamp seems to work. But it's noticeably dimmer, so you won't be able to watch a movie in broad daylight. You also have to set it to maximum intensity in the evening, while it was enough with the native lamp in ECO mode. Turning off the lights at night is great, but it shouldn't be the only way to enjoy movies, right?
