Review on πŸš› Enhance Diesel Truck Performance with RDP Fuel Tank Sump & Integrated Return for AirDog, FASS Systems - Dodge Cummins, GM Duramax, Ford Powerstroke by Michael Hall

Before starting work, select the necessary tools.

I accidentally poured 15 gallons of gasoline into my '93 Cummins diesel tank. Also, it's time to install the swamp. I removed the original gear unit from above and gutted it. Although the new sump comes with a return, I use the original return back to the top of the tank. One thing you need to know about this sump before you begin installation is that the fittings that come with it do not have pipe threads. They're pitched right, but they don't have a cone, so they don't condense. Get real pipe thread fittings and make sure they fit before you start this project. Luckily I read other reviews before I did otherwise I would have tried to find fittings on Sunday which is next to impossible. The double O-ring makes a good seal on the plastic tank, and the two bolts that hold it together also seal easily. Make sure you clean the tank very well after using the hole saw or it can get stuck like a rat's nest in the pan fitting, which happened to me for not removing my tank. I fixed this by removing the small 3/8 fitting and connecting a 5/8" ID hose to a large clear vinyl hose diesel filter/separator so I could see what was going on. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to add a sump, just make sure you get the correct NPT fittings first.
