I'm updating this review. Having ridden them a few hundred miles I have to say they are on par with the more expensive shorts I have bought. Of course it's not a gel like they claim. But it's a thick pad. They are just as comfortable as other shorts I own. You definitely know and look how you wear it or it depends. This is where high-flow shorts are best. But it's normal. The original rating is below. Even though they say it's gel, they don't have gel in them. This is foam. I ordered a size up as suggested in the comments, that probably wasn't necessary. It feels like a diaper. The pad catches on the seat when you try to get on the bike. Maybe everyone is like that.
