I have thick hair and it's holding up well! There are no seams and no glue - it's an all-elastic nylon strap. They look like thick tights/pantyhose. No chemical smell, stretches very well without pulling your hair. I use mine every day and maybe after a week they will stretch but still hold in place - need to wrap more. They are stiff enough to tie your hair in a ponytail and even pull it into a bun without pulling your hair out. Hair is not pulled out of him - it seems to slip off. For the price we are worth it! Even if you throw them away once a week because they're stretched. YOU STAY IN PLACE! I don't need to fix or redo my ponytail, once I make my ponytail it lasts all day!
