This item should have received 5 stars in each category Some of the slats on the two shelves were not glued or attached. I think I should have sent it back but this is an easy fix! I taped each one in place, clamped them in place and they dried perfectly. I didn't need any extra work and I didn't have time for it! Bought as a gift for our daughter to take to college. This is used for one of two things: a plant stand in a window seal, or a spice rack on your kitchen counter. Love the fact that the shelves can be flipped and installed upside down giving a front and back overhang. It was expensive for me to do the extra work to bring it up to date! Overall I'm glad I kept it, it works well in both places I need something! I'M NOT SURE I'LL ORDER ANOTHER ONE. I can look around to see what else is out there!
