Updated Review: I recently used this Elmo while teaching a group of virtual students and it was sooo great. I was able to show my book to my first graders very clearly and the picture quality was excellent. The online program worked seamlessly with my district laptop while I was on campus, so that was a huge plus. To make sure that Elmo "works" you need to press and hold the button in the shape of a circle on top of the camera for a few seconds. Having used it in live training I would definitely recommend it. _____________________________ As an elementary school teacher I thought this Elmo was a dream come true because you don't need to download any software onto your computer to use it and I liked the design. However, this Elmo barely worked. It does not turn on to project an image. Very frustrating. I seem to be having trouble deciding which camera to use, the webcam that came with my laptop or the camera on the Elmo. I watched all the videos on YouTube, read the user manual and asked Revain customer service for help. I was able to show a photo once while on the phone with a representative. I held down each of the two buttons on the Elmo for 30 seconds to get it working. I'm at the point where I think I should return it. Maybe it's defective or something. When I took a picture for a few minutes, the picture quality was good. Otherwise, this Elmo isn't easy to use, the camera isn't easy to spot, and the online software is buggy at best.
