I can't say enough good things about this product. I have a lard cake hanging near my home office and enjoy watching the birds it attracts every day. I have found that repelling squirrels is good. Squirrels sometimes take multiple bites, never to come back. But the birds seem to like it. I get regular daily visits from downy woodpeckers, wrens and dark-eyed juncos, and sometimes the fire-bellied woodpecker. And my favorite of all, a few Northern Flickers that return every day. I even set up a bird watching camera next to the greasy cake.
