They do a great job - beware of bad reviews

I read many conflicting reviews and didn't want to buy them but ended up buying a few and they were a good choice. So it's basically two pieces: a solid piece of plastic with an eyelet for a hole in the drywall, and a second piece made up of two thin, thin pieces of metal that snap into the plastic and have holes for you to attach them to Bolts or ceiling joists. You line up the hole where the speaker will ultimately be mounted, nail or screw the fins to the wood, and you're done. This creates a hole for the drywall to cut perfectly and later you just go back and connect the wire to the speaker and insert the speaker. This set does not support weight. Yes, it's flimsy when installed, but that's not a problem - you just install a drywall guy hole. The weight of the speaker is supported by the drywall, no big deal. As you can see from my photo, the intent was the same. The drywall was installed with the perfect opening and cable access so I could just plug in my speakers. Invest in them. It's worth it. Installation takes about 2 minutes per speaker if you have DIY skills. No need to cut holes in the drywall, guess where the wire is, or make mistakes. I'm glad I found her. Of all the speakers I've ever worked with, this is a must!

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
