Acrylic yarn Scratchy not a good

Bought 11 skeins of this yarn in a murky prospect. It's good that all the cakes were the same color, and my blanket and scarf turned out beautifully. The bad thing is that almost every color change the yarn got knotted and tied together, the weight of the yarn changed from heavy worsted to lace or light finger yarn to bulky yarn back to the worsted that I had. Lots of cutting and weaving at the ends. I probably cut about 3 yards of yarn into each cake. There were also patches of color on the cakes that didn't match, sometimes it was navy blue gray on white or purple patches of color and none of the cakes had purple. I can't use the finished pieces as they are spiky and I can use Red Heart Super Saver with no problem. I will no longer buy Bernat Popgarn.
