Some reviewers complained of the paint peeling off the buttons. Time will tell, but these cases are very similar to the originals. The back does not have a GM model number and the tabs that hold the body parts together are shaped slightly differently than the factory parts, so you won't be able to attach the original back to the new front body. I suppose you could mount the rubber button with your old bearing sleeve. I simply cleaned the contacts of the electronics with a nozzle soaked in rubbing alcohol, installed new batteries and put the electronics in new housings. They've been working great for a few weeks now.
