Pros: Perfect size for a 17" laptop. Quiet fans. Bought but this pad has the (completely useless) feature of a colorful light bar around the front of the pad. It pulses, pulses and changes colors as if you were on a dance floor. There are FOURTEEN different colors/pulses/change options. Okay okay it has a feature that is useless and I won't use it because the pulsing lights just distract me from what I'm doing on my laptop. The problem is that DISCO LIGHTS ARE ON BY DEFAULT. Every time you turn on your computer, the light bar turns on. If you want to turn it off, you'll have to press the button to cycle through all the backlight options until you get to the turn off setting, which is at the bottom of the list. You have to press the button FOURTEEN TIMES to turn it off! And then you can tap, tap, tap and turn on the ADD-triggering hassle if you like. Also, you can't turn off the blue light in the fans. They're always obscured by the laptop, so I don't care. While it's a great notebook in every other way, I think the disco edge lights and crazy default settings will be enough to make me send it back.
