I've decided Tronex is by far the best cable tool. I bought cutting knives and they were great too. Unfortunately, before I bought the Tronex (flat and round nose), I recently purchased a Swanstrom pin chain and curved chain pliers and while they are strong, comfortable to hold and well made, they damage my wire more than others because they are very sharp defined edges. I can still stick with them as they are good quality and I've had them too long to return. But I wish I had bought a Tronex because the edges are lighter which makes a big difference when working with heavier gauge wire, less noticeable on 30-24 gauge thin wire as it takes less pressure to seal those thin wires bend and hold. Also, Tronex has a much smoother metal surface, which is also gentler on the wire. They are also very comfortable to hold, I prefer full-size models.
