The base unit is fine: Power tools and hand tools

I will keep and use the base unit. A small (i.e. light) polishing block comes in handy if you have it on hand, especially for quickly polishing cutting tools for touch-ups between sharpenings. Ideal for turning tools, chisels, scrapers, knives, razor blades etc. Accessories? Fur. Better use a special rotary tool with a better quality flexible shaft, such as B. a Foredom, a micromotor or even one of the best dremels. I don't use a drill chuck on this machine at all. The wheels included in the kit are essentially disposable. A couple of felt and muslin wheels is all I personally need for such a machine. Again, the base unit is pretty solid. The speed controller works well, there are no vibrations, everything seems balanced. The only design point I doubt is that the motor has open vents. This is not the best choice for such a machine as they generate a lot of dust and sand. We'll see how it holds up, but I doubt its durability. If you only use it for buffing and polishing, its service life will be extended. I don't use mine to polish.
