Installed on a small toy chest I named "finger breaker". There was no soft closure on the chest and good. fingers were broken. Bought 2 packs thinking I would need 2. I didn't need both, one helped as the lid wasn't very heavy. It wasn't very difficult to install. The instructions were pretty basic, but I bought it with anticipation. So don't be surprised. A few minutes of fiddling and I was able to determine the orientation of the hinge. I marked a few spots for screws and installed them with a screwdriver. The main issue was that the screws that came with it were too long and trying to stick out the other side. So, a quick trip to the workshop and I was able to find some suitable replacement parts. The extra hinge was given to a friend to use on the cedar box. He stated that it also worked well for his chest.
