These are nothing like PUR filters. First, there are no instructions. All you receive is a box with a filter in it. Second, water just flows through as if there was no filter medium inside. With PUR filters there is resistance as the water passes through the unit, these the water shoots out under extreme force indicating there is little no nothing inside filtering the water. Third, black charcoal continuously emits from the filter. And, finally, there is no taste improvement and I can still smell chlorine. PUR filters make the water taste better and removes the chlorine.You cannot substitute PUR filters. There is no comparison. Please, don't waste your money on imitation filters filled with coconut fibers.
