Review on DMT 2 Inch Dia Sharp Mini Hone Coarse by Christopher Millet

I was a little skeptical about this type of sharpener as I have always sharpened my pocket knives on a whetstone. Am I glad I decided to buy the DMT Aligner Prokit? It sharpens much faster than my whetstone. I had a couple of old kitchen knives that were very dull, but this sharpener made them sharper than new ones. My new set of kitchen knives was also sharper than new. Especially after using my Beavercraft sling which is also a great product. Once you figure out the best position or positions for longer knives and find the right angle, it's very easy to get. Let's not use the old "razor sharp" cliché. edge. It also makes it easy to reuse the knife. I angled an old carving knife to a sharper angle and now use it to dice veggies so I can scoop them off the cutting board and add them to the pot/bowl. Highly recommended for those who have never sharpened knives.
