fits well, stands out a bit

2nd update - After contacting the seller about this problem, a replacement was sent quickly! Their customer service was very friendly and responsive. They got to me very quickly and within a few days I had a replacement unit. I've never gone through this process at Revain before and Revain really doesn't make it easy. You need to click on the seller (mastertool) and then on the "Ask a question" button. Messages will be sent to your account email address or can be found in the "Your Messages" section of your account. It's really intuitive, but thanks to Mastertool and Ansbell for their quick and kind response. I'm increasing my rating to 5 stars because customer service means something to me. The upgraded design also seems promising. UPDATE - After 8 months the magnetic part on the USB-C tip came loose and broke off when I removed the charger. On the product page, they are aware of this issue as they changed the tip design from fork -> plastic -> magnet to full metal. The guarantee should be 12 months. I've contacted them, I think we'll see if they reply. My product review will be updated again based on this response. Haven't used it for so long but got it for my Lenovo Carbon X1 Yoga (3rd gen). It fits snugly enough into any USB-C port - it doesn't hang around and I didn't have to plug it in. No other port is closed during use. When the charging end slides, it connects and immediately starts charging (green light) without shaking or finding the right spot/corner. The magnet itself seems right in terms of strength - it stays on, but comes off with moderate force and doesn't pull the barrel out. The only thing that worries me (and this can be both a plus and a minus) is that the barrel bulges a little. There is a small "double lip" (I'll try to take a picture). This means it sticks out a little further than some other brands. But it also means it's easier to pull out the end of the receiver should I ever need it. On the other hand, I have multiple USB-C ports so I'm not sure why I need it, but if I ever do it I won't need a special tool for it since I can work around your nails. this without the use of string, tweezers or anything else. For that reason and the plastic it's made of I've put one star but to be honest I wish I could give 4.5 stars although Revain wouldn't let me.

Pros
  • hands-free operation
Cons
  • Can I add anything else
