The rear camera does have a hard time with window tinting. The exposure can be adjusted to help a bit. During the day, it is OK (i changed the exposure to +1.3). but at night it doesn't do so good. If there are street lights or other light sources, then it is a bit better. I have a hatch back and tested the rear camera by lifting the hatch and having the camera just shoot out the back - WOW what a difference. This is a really good camera, bot front and rear. I tried many difference settings - some with HDR and non-HDR, the one with the 1080/1080 60fps and altered the exposure between both maxes (+2 to -2). And couldn't get it much better. Without tint, it is great. Can't blame the camera for my window tint - so 5 stars across the board. But just be aware, if your windows are tinted, expect to be a bit disappointed at night.
