**IMPORTANT NOTICE. The product page states that each card is rated for 500 uses. I know this is the correct number because I have another UV card almost identical to this one and this product is also good for 500 uses. However, the information that accompanies the cards is wrong! The product itself says it's good for 5000 uses and not 5000 uses! It works well, but when you're not using it, you need to keep it up your sleeve or it will lose its testability due to prolonged exposure. So if you accidentally miss it, it becomes useless. According to the instructions, each test should last ten seconds and can be used 500 times. That's 5000 seconds or about 83 minutes. If you let it sit for 83 minutes, you'll likely burn out its lifespan. This showed me how much UV light is lost when it goes through the top of the screen, even when the light hits the screen directly. If you are going through a screen you will definitely need stronger UV light as most of the UV light is lost. I would definitely recommend this product to all reptile owners. This is a very inexpensive way to ensure your reptiles are getting the UV light you think you are giving them. I rely heavily on other people's reviews when making a purchasing decision, so I hope this helps you!
