My hair isn't very thick, maybe that's why

Not sure if this is for me. It's very thick and dries out my hair. I thought it should have done the opposite. My hair is not very thick, maybe that's why? I went back to vegan coconut shampoo/conditioner. Works best on thin and thin hair.
