Review on ๐Ÿšด Ultimate Safety and Convenience: USB Rechargeable Bike Front Light with Solar Power, Bell Horn, and 350 Lumens LED" by David Boone

Attention: not waterproof, not rainproof, not waterproof

On the plus side, very bright light (350 lumens) and very loud beep. It is also able to work for up to 2 weeks without charging the batteries. The top of my device got wet from rain. The horn button appears to be fairly waterproof, but the main unit's top case is a different matter entirely. After drying for 14 hours, there is still condensation in the transparent plastic cover of the solar panel. Also, the horn electronics are shorted - the horn randomly turns off when plugged in, or just makes an anemic chirp. There is also a water leak from the horn connector which entered through the solar panel cover. Leaving the device in the sun all day won't charge the batteries, so I think the solar function is more of a gimmick than anything useful. Estimated 1 to 1.5 hours per week with high beam (with very frequent honking while driving), the device must be charged once every 2 weeks. The red light flashes when the batteries are low. Charging takes about 6-8 hours. Another problem: It's really annoying to cycle through 4 lighting modes just to turn off the device. Depending on your driving style, the horn catch may come loose when you press it. The horn clasp is a rubber band, not a stud. Since most horn and bugle combinations are like this, I wouldn't deduct points for it. Just something to be aware of. Overall, this is a good light, but it's not protected from rain or water. And the solar panel feature might be a publicity stunt. If you decide to buy, don't let it get wet!
