Review on ๐Ÿ”จ Berserker SDS Plus: Amplify Performance with Positive & Negative Vibration Features by Tarrance Man

Strikes without much strain on the hands!

I don't often need something with this clout, but I do a few projects that require concrete and in one case heavy mortar removal. I could rent a larger SDS Max from my local rental shop but they are very heavy and I just didn't like them. With this SDS Plus rotary hammer from Berserker, I am pleased that it is lighter than I would have expected from a device in this class. I mean it's not a pen or anything but it takes a lot of work so that's understandable. It's a bit lighter than the ones I used years ago, so I'm happy with that. So far it's working even better than I expected and it's definitely saved me a lot of time! The included bit selection is a great starter kit and so far there have been no signs of rapid wear on the bits I've used. Second hand. The main thing to keep in mind is the unit, especially if you are not used to these big hammers or usually only rent them for a few days at a time is that some maintenance is required. You'll need to lubricate it regularly and a starter supply of lube is included. The manual addresses this issue and provides guidance on how often to do this. So be sure to pay attention and you will have many years of good use of this tool. The case feels solid and most of the contents stay in place, that's all. In the future I will need to drill holes in solid concrete walls to run a duct through, so I assume this will serve that purpose well too. I will also be using this masonry bit with the included flat chisel in spring to break up some clay soil when I add some bushes to the landscaping. While a large yard would benefit from a proper demo hammer or SDS Max rock drill with a clay attachment, the job I'll be doing doesn't require all that firepower and a flat chisel should be more than enough to break up the dirt enough to get it all started to keep. Also, I don't have to run the generator to provide the kind of power that would be required to properly run a full size demo hammer. This device can operate over a regular home network, so it's a good compromise. The feel of this device for the projects I've used it on so far suggests that it has more than enough power to do what I need to do. In general I am satisfied. This Berserker SDS Plus 8 Amp Impact Drill is a good compromise between performance and ease of use for my projects and I expect to find it useful at home and at work in the future.
