Balloons are small but effective when you are lighting a small area. They are not used to illuminate the actual area, but for accent lighting. What I really like is that the solar panels leave the lights on for many hours before the bulbs dim and I don't leave my solar panels in direct light all day. They work as advertised and are reasonably priced. I also have rope lanterns of the same brand. Very small but powerful and discreet to work under the deck rail. If I had to do it again I would buy less of these versions of the sphere and more of the rope lanterns as they also hold on to themselves and are easier to wrap around trees and bushes. I can't go wrong with either one. I like them both!
