No More Junk (Updated)

This item is complete junk. First, it falls apart at the slightest attempt to adjust it. It is made from the cheapest, lowest quality plastic. It's stereotypical Chinese trash. It won't stand driving and shaking - it will fall apart. I really wanted to love this business. I have tried different types of mirrors: steering wheel, helmet etc and was excited to try this. It seemed like a good idea and it would work. Well, the contraption fell apart a few times when I tried to pick it up in my hand - and I didn't even press on it - just gravity and light shaking. Second, the mirror doesn't have enough degrees of freedom to even come close to a position where you can see what's behind you when riding drop bars. You can see clouds in the sky but not the road behind you. Even if you could adjust it somehow, the mirror won't stay still while driving, since even the slightest shake will move the mirror out of place (if the whole thing doesn't fall apart on yours). I can't believe they charge $29 for this. It looks like the stereotypical Chinese crap you would buy in a store for a dollar and feel overpaid for. I am confident that all 9 good reviews were written by people associated with the seller and/or the manufacturer. Unless they somehow got a different product than mine, there is nothing good to say about this invention. Complete garbage. return from me. UPDATE: After my return I received a (completely unsolicited) package with a new mirror from the manufacturer. It just says "gift". No other communication. The second one I got seems to be the same design but made better: better built, better plastic(?) etc. It looks very different. The mirror itself was covered with a protective film (which wasn't the case on the first one). Overall it seems much stronger. I am changing my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. The reason it's not 5 stars is that the angle is a bit awkward when you use it with the drop bars. It should work though, as you can always wiggle your wrist a little. I look forward to trying this out on my next trip.
