UPDATE 12/21/2020 - The element blew out on 12/3/2020 so it lasted me about 8 months. I was able to contact the company and they sent a replacement but it hasn't arrived yet. I am assuming it will be shipped from China where the company is based. The tracking number shows that USPS hasn't received it yet. Due to the durability of the product and the inconvenience it caused me, I'm downgrading my rating to 2 stars. I'll probably find a repair shop that sells OEM parts and go that route. That way I have a backup if I get a replacement part. ----------- Our Kenmore 80 Series heater element has burned out. I ordered this kit thinking I would replace all the parts assuming there are other bad parts in the circuit. The actual installation required some effort, mainly on the body of the heating element and the thermostat on the heating element. I had to bend the edges of the case outwards slightly to line up with the screw holes. I also had to bend the leads on the elemental thermostat so it could be put on. The thermal fuse didn't fit at all so I had to take a utility knife and snip off a small piece of plastic from the fuse to fit the metal frame. I just did the installation today 04/25/2020 and the dryer works, that's a plus. I have some doubts about the quality control and durability of the product, so I will provide an update in a few months. I strongly recommend that you keep all original parts if you decide to replace the ones that came with it. 4 stars for the value and the fact that my dryer is working again. The "Moisture Detection" setting seems to be working better than before, which is likely due to new thermostats being installed. I'm deducting one star because not all parts fit "perfectly" and also because of my doubts about the durability of the product, especially due to fit issues.
