This is a very well-made hammer. I bought this hammer for building AR countersinks and general blacksmithing. While it did its job reasonably well, it's more of a jeweler's hammer. The price is right. And I'll continue to use it in hard-to-reach places and tap lightly, but I'll look for a larger brass/scratch-resistant hammer with interchangeable heads or brass/delrin heads. This is a hammer with little wear and cracks on the hammer surface, but it's designed to take damage, not the item you're working on. Because the hammer is so light, you tend to swing it harder, increasing the likelihood of miss hits and of course multiple hits. I feel like a slightly larger hammer will do the job for you and require less effort. It's a good hammer, just needs a little more butt on it.
