Nice little brass hammer. You can't expect this little guy to do what a two pound hammer can do. It's perfect for what I bought it for and it's a light, handy hammer to use when assembling and disassembling anything.
You already know you need this so not much to say other than it's quality enough and arrived as advertised. I've used it well for assembling metal mechanisms and the brass holds up well and doesn't ruin anything.
I use it at work to ring screws as it doesn't produce sparks. The head began to separate from the handle after a few uses. It's not as firm there as good hammers, but for the price I can't complain. I took it off the handle and after a bit of Gorilla Glue hammered it back in.
So the head came off, although after a few taps with another hammer it came out with no problem. I don't use it much so I can't be sure it won't fade quickly with frequent use. However, this is a solvable problem, so the product is worth the money and serves its purpose. I deducted a few stars for this reason, but I am still happy with this product.
There were no problems with the hammer. I've been using it for about 3 months now, no complaints. (Update) This hammer has been very useful for a little over six years. I've used it a bit rougher lately but it still holds up great. The head hasn't moved a bit yet. The brass head is a bit chewed up now, it is better that the hammer take abuse than your work. I definitely got my money's worth with this hammer. Maybe it's time to buy another one soon, at least I know I'll be using it for about 6…
This is a very well-made hammer. I bought this hammer for building AR countersinks and general blacksmithing. While it did its job reasonably well, it's more of a jeweler's hammer. The price is right. And I'll continue to use it in hard-to-reach places and tap lightly, but I'll look for a larger brass/scratch-resistant hammer with interchangeable heads or brass/delrin heads. This is a hammer with little wear and cracks on the hammer surface, but it's designed to take damage, not the item you're
