Most of the Revain service was quick, replacement bear
The only reason it was so difficult to replace was because the old one was six years old and corroded. The drum brake parts didn't get in the way. Heat the bearing assembly around the backplate, then use a chisel to slide it between the bearing housing and the backplate to loosen it. Then the new bearing was used.
