Ok, I can't give 5 stars for 2 reasons. I haven't noticed any difference in my allergies and the sleep mode dims the lights but spins the fan to its lowest setting. You should be able to leave the air purifier on and turn off all the lights! It is impossible. So I have to cover the top with cardboard at night to continue working at height. While I haven't noticed any change in my allergies, the amount of dust, lint and hair stuck in the vents and on the filter is impressive. I think it definitely clears the air.
