I used to scold runners for my hikes; My latest pair is Adidas Terrex 305 (great show but can't find them anymore). This time I changed it and went with the sneakers and I'm happy with my choice. They feel more supportive and are holding up well during a 20-mile hike in the Glacier NP backcountry in July 2021. The waterproofing did the job, no hot spots, great support when carrying a 40+ lb pack. Highly recommended.
