Review on Cabinet Lighting Counter Kitchen Showcase by Eddie Baglien

I really wanted to like these headlights. The concept is great. I like that they are hidden and fit snugly in the closet. The cable is quite long and the switch is not bulky. BUT WAIT. Eat more. The little blue piece of plastic you pick up from the adhesive side is an absolute nightmare to remove (see photos for removal issues). They started taking it off and the adhesive was so strong that it only stuck to the blue plastic and immediately peeled off the light strip exposing the metal strips underneath (sketch!), but I was able to pull the adhesive off very gently. and cover exposed metal parts. I fixed the bulbs to the bottom of my closet the way I wanted them and plugged them into a 5v output plug, wow they were awesome! BUT WAIT. Is there more. Everything is fine, right? NOT CORRECT! After 20 minutes the light went out. My jaw literally dropped. In no way did I think some of these reviews were correct. I didn't want to believe them. So I went to turn off the light to turn it back on. I get it! Combustion. The 5v box I plugged the USB into was so hot, the cable was so hot - it was crazy. I quickly unplugged it and let it cool down. After it cooled down I tested it by plugging it back in to make sure it was still working (only if it was overheating or there was some other problem) and yes it overheats, they turned back on but caught right back up to burn. To make it short. Don't buy this. They're probably going to burn down your home or office, and Smokey Bear doesn't want that.
